For the past 25 years, Mr. Slavin has provided professional hydrogeologic and environmental consulting services to public and private sector clients throughout the United States and internationally. During that period Mr. Slavin has designed, managed and conducted a wide variety of projects ranging from the assessment and remediation of soil and water contamination resulting from petroleum hydrocarbon and hazardous waste releases; environmental assessments of properties for real estate transactions and financing; determinations of the impacts of existing and proposed development on groundwater resources; and, the development of clean drinking water and irrigation supplies from groundwater resources.
Mr. Slavin has been certified and testified as an expert in the field of geology and hydrogeology before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the Lebanon County and Northampton County Courts in Pennsylvania and the Sullivan County Court in New Hampshire, in matters dealing with surface and groundwater allocation, flooding and stream diversion, interpretation of historical land use and water level data and groundwater well construction.
Additionally, Mr. Slavin has testified as an expert in the field of geology and hydrogeology before the Susquehanna River Basin Commission and several zoning boards, including Silver Springs Township, Cornwall Borough, North Cornwall Borough, Union Township and Shippensburg Township in Pennsylvania, and Washington County in Maryland in matters dealing with proposed groundwater uses, groundwater withdrawal impacts and stream encroachments. |
